Awards:
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each category
- Champion commercial herd overall from combined heifers and cows & calves. (Perpetual Shield
donated by the Adelong Men’s Shed for Champion commercial herd) - Encouragement award to be awarded to the entry that has not won one of the other awards and
shows clear commercial attributes and the vision to improve their herd.
LOCATION: Cattle to be yarded on the entrant property in one set of yards.
JUDGES: There will be two judges. Judges TBC.
TRANSPORT: The committee will run a bus for spectators and entrants. Bookings are essential. A small fee will apply. Contact Nick Gilvarry on 0438 871 653
PRESENTATION: The Presentation will be announced at the of the day at the Royal Adelong hotel.
LUNCH: BBQ Lunch will be provided by Elders Riverina Hills at the Darlow Fire Shed.
CONDITION OF ENTRY: - All cattle must come from commercial herd and cattle must be vendor/owner bred.
- If the entrant also owns a registered cattle stud it must be disclosed.
- All entrants are to supply breeding aims & objectives.
- Yards must be safe & secure for judges & not too large
- Cows & calf entries to be a minimum size of 10×10 and maximin size of 20×20
- Heifer entries to be a minimum size of 10hd and maximin size of 20hd.
- Entry forms & entry fee’s to be submitted 10 days prior to the event date.
- Judge’s decision is final & it must be noted that it is the judge’s opinion only.
- Cattle must be yarded minimum 1 hour before scheduled judging time.
- For OHS compliance, spectators attend at their own risk, are not to enter yards or move from the
